Abstract:
The United Nations Association of Nepal organized talk programme on ’Strengthening the forces against Conflict Poverty and Gender Disparity' to celebrate International Day of Peace supported by UNFPA on 21 September 2008. The key speakers on the occasion were Nepal’s Minister of Peace and Reconstruction Hon’ble Janardan Sharma, Executive Director of Institute of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Prof. Dr. Gopal Prasad Pokharel and UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Mr. Robert Piper.The event was coordinated by UNIC Kathmandu in support of UNFPA.
