Educational Outreach Program in Champadevi Secondary School

BOSON, KATHMANDU, 29 JUNE 2018 -- With a view to educate an upcoming generation about UN and all other information relevant to UN, United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) organized an educational outreach programme on Friday, June 29th, 2018 at Champadevi Secondary School, Boson, Dakshinkali-1. Around 70 students from grade 8, 9 and 10 were benefited by the outreach. Along with sharing information, some of the students also participated in video shooting of articles reading of Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

The team shared about global agenda 2030 aligning with local issues in the outreach. The materials about sustainable development and works of UN in Nepal are easily accessible through UN digital library (http://un.info.np) in Nepal. With a reference to the objective of educational outreach program, the team made a clear concept of the UN, its working procedure and about the digital library. In a nutshell, a one hour of program comprise sharing information, discussion and making a clear view on the UN and its ongoing agenda. At last, the Programme was terminated with sharing information about the celebration of 70th anniversary of UDHR which was carried out by making videos message of youth where few students participated in the video making of UDHR after the event.
